Marriage Celebration
OUR STORY
We first met in November 2019 on the Big Island of Hawaii. We were both part of a work-exchange program, trading farm chores for a place to stay over the winter holidays—and by chance, we ended up on the same farm.
When the program ended in December, Chani went back to California and Elyse to Georgia, but we kept talking... and talking. Before long, we found ourselves in a long-distance relationship. For the next two years, we stayed connected while finishing school. When Elyse graduated from college in 2022, Chani flew out to help her drive cross-country to Los Angeles, where we moved in together.
Since then, we’ve filled our days with the kind of simple magic we love most—hunting down new foods to try, sleeping under the stars on camping trips, and lingering over board games at cozy coffee shops in the early morning. These little rituals have become the heartbeat of our life together, turning everyday moments into some of our favorite memories.
Chani proposed on October 15th, 2023, at a cozy pumpkin patch, wearing a Hawaiian shirt to honor the place in Hawaii where we first met.
On September 28th, 2024—almost a year after the proposal—we quietly eloped and legally tied the knot. It was a simple moment just for us, and while we’ve cherished having that private milestone, we’ve been holding off on the part that matters most: saying our vows and celebrating with the people we love.
We’re so excited to finally share this next chapter with you at our marriage celebration!

PARKING: Unfortunately since it is a public beach there is no revered parking, parking is first come first serve. Please consider ubering, plan on arriving early if bringing your own vehicle, or we are trying to setup a van pick up. Let us know in advance if you need to be picked up.

Thursday night 6:30pm - 10:00pm come hang out with us and say hi after you arrive and get settled in . We have reserved sites 11 -15 at Zephyr Cove RV and Campground. Look here for site map and parking
K A YA K I N G
Saturday morning come kayaking with us or sit on the beach. We will be at Zephyr Cove Beach from 10:00am-2:00pm. If you want to kayak please fill out and send us the second page of this liability form.
B B Q
Saturday evening come join us for a BBQ at the park. We will be meeting at 3:30 at Kahle Park address is: 236 Kingsbury Grade Rd, Stateline, NV 89449
